Attorney Asaf J. Sarno concentrates his law practice in personal injury and criminal defense, bringing over 15 years of legal experience to the table, and the courtroom, on behalf of his clients. Asaf’s practice areas may appear different at first glance, but they have one important thing in common: they involve representing individuals in potentially life-changing circumstances against big, powerful entities. In criminal defense, it’s the government. In personal injury, it’s the insurance company. Asaf takes pride in helping his clients successfully navigate the criminal and civil justice systems, and helping them move forward with their lives.
Asaf understands that when you are injured or facing criminal charges, the legal process is unfamiliar, and it can all feel overwhelming. You need someone who will guide and support you, help you make the right choices at the right time, and stand up for you to ensure your constitutional and statutory rights are protected.
Clients appreciate Asaf’s candor; they know they can count on him to tell them what they need to hear, not just what they want to hear. At the same time, they value his empathy when they are going through one of the most difficult times of their lives. Asaf truly sees the good in the people or families he’s helping, not just the injury and medical bills or the criminal acts they are accused of committing.
Perhaps most of all, Asaf’s clients are grateful for his depth of knowledge and ability, especially in the courtroom. Having worked as a trial attorney for many years, Asaf has extensive courtroom experience that benefits all his clients.
While he works to resolve both personal injury and criminal cases swiftly and favorably short of trial, his opponents understand that Asaf will not hesitate to try a case if that is what is in his client’s best interests. Asaf is not afraid to try cases. In fact, he loves taking cases to trial and convincing a jury that his client is not guilty or that his injured client is deserving of a substantial money award.
Asaf has been committed to helping clients achieve justice since before graduating from law school. As a Haywood Burns Memorial Fellow, he worked at a nonprofit law firm that represented inmates on Georgia’s death row. While awaiting admission to the New York Bar, he worked as a senior paralegal for the Monroe County Public Defender’s Office. After becoming licensed, Asaf became an attorney at a prestigious Manhattan law firm, where he handled all of the firm’s state criminal cases.
In 2013, Asaf opened The Law Office of Asaf J. Sarno (originally in NYC), which is now known as Sarno Legal, PLLC. For nearly a decade, Asaf has offered clients in Boston and the Greater Boston area high-quality legal representation along with the attentive personal service and support they deserve.
When not practicing law, Asaf can often be found cycling, hiking, enjoying hockey, reading, or playing chess. Most of all, he cherishes the time he gets to spend with his stunningly beautiful wife and their four incredible children.
Asaf and his family are also committed to raising money for cancer research and treatment for families who cannot afford it at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute through the Pan-Mass Challenge Team he created in his daughter’s honor: Team Live Like Liv.
